Quantity Surveyor

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Professional Registered Quantity Surveyor (Pr QS) to join our team specializing in petrochemical projects. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in managing and overseeing all aspects of cost management and contract administration for our petrochemical projects.

Responsibilities:

Provide comprehensive quantity surveying services for petrochemical projects ensuring cost control and financial management.

Prepare and manage project budgets cost estimates and financial reports.

Conduct detailed measurement and valuation of construction work.

Administer and manage NEC contracts with a strong emphasis on compliance and risk management.

Collaborate with project managers engineers and other stakeholders to ensure project success.

Conduct feasibility studies and prepare detailed cost plans.

Monitor project progress and conduct regular cost audits.

Negotiate and manage subcontractor and supplier contracts.

Ensure adherence to health safety and environmental regulations.

Requirements

BSc (Hons) degree in Quantity Surveying.

Professional registration with the South African Council for the Quantity Surveying Profession (SACQSP) as a Pr QS.

Over 5 years of extensive experience in quantity surveying preferably within a consulting firm environment.

Proven experience in managing NEC contracts within petrochemical projects.

Strong analytical and problemsolving skills.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Proficiency in relevant software and tools.
