Job Description

JOB TITLE: Reliability Engineer

Our client is seeking a Reliability Engineer to join their team. Reporting to the Maintenance Manager the Reliability Engineer will ensure the continuous optimal and efficient operation of plant equipment by effectively implementing Preventive and ReliabilityCentered Maintenance practices to achieve the companys goals.

Duties and Responsibilities:
Lead the Reliability team including Maintenance Planners Plant Inspectors Data Analysts and Draughtsmen.
Serve as the link between the production team and maintenance execution team (Electrical & Mechanical) to implement maintenance strategies for highquality service.
Develop effective maintenance systems such as preventive schedules work identification correction strategies and cost management strategies.
Identify work needs through timely plant inspections.
Implement plant condition monitoring systems and proactive maintenance practices.
Plan and schedule maintenance tasks promptly.
Analyze data report findings and implement resolutions promptly.
Perform Root Failure Cause Analysis and ensure corrective actions are implemented.
Participate in formulating and implementing a costeffective maintenance budget.
Advise the supply chain on plant needs and inventory control levels.
Provide spares specifications drawings and technical advice to the supply chain.
Interpret technical drawings; knowledge of AutoCAD is an advantage.
Lead the planning scheduling and implementation of plant shutdown projects.
Ensure adherence to health and safety procedures/regulations by direct reports and the execution team.
Ensure compliance with environmental legal requirements related to emissions.
Train mentor and guide the team on emerging maintenance technologies and trends.
Coordinate hired or outsourced maintenance services.

Requirements

Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Mechatronics or Industrial Technology.
Minimum of 7 years of working experience with at least 3 years in maintenance planning/maintenance management in the cement industry or a similar mining industry.
Proficiency in using AutoCAD for making and interpreting engineering drawings.
Registered with the Engineering body (ERB).
Computer literate with experience in ERP systems.
Knowledge of Continuous Improvement techniques.
Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot and solve engineering problems.
Strong analytical skills to evaluate equipment performance identify failure patterns and implement reliability improvements.
Excellent problemsolving skills to address reliability issues and develop effective solutions.
Strong project management skills including planning execution and monitoring of reliability improvement initiatives.
Effective communication skills to convey reliability strategies train employees and collaborate with stakeholders.
Ability to lead and motivate teams manage conflicts and ensure collaboration across departments.
