Job Description

Partner Staffing is the "goto recruiter" for difficult important and timesensitive positions in Western Canada. We work with proactive clients who understand the importance of having exceptional staff.


Partner Staffing is currently working with our client to find a Mechanical Inside Sales Professional based out of their Calgary Alberta office. Our client is a North American leading manufacturer and distributor of air distribution products. In this position you will promote all the mechanical manufacturers represented by our client and provide accurate and timely support to all stakeholders in the HVAC industry while building and maintaining internal and external relationships.


Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain relationships with all industry stakeholders (Engineers Architects Contractors Developers Owners etc.) to grow sales and expand market share in accordance with company goals and objectives

This will include:

  • Be able to identify and maximize opportunity
  • Carry out product selections for engineers and design/build contractors
  • Interpret schedules construction drawings specifications etc
  • Perform takeoffs prepare quotations and tenders and prepare and issue submittals
  • Project manage the entire sales cycle from initial inquiry through the end of the warranty period
  • Selfeducate and attend manufacturer s factory/training visits to ensure you are constantly up to date on the latest product developments and software tools (Occasional travel)
  • Understand and remain current with both industry and local codes and regulations and market trends to ensure they comply and can exploit opportunities
  • Service the engineering community in an accurate and timely manner
  • Maintain an understanding of their competitors product offering
  • Crosstrain on other mechanical products work with airside team to create a full bidday package.
  • Onsite visits to troubleshoot challenges.
  • Prepare and distribute submittal packages and coordinate technical details during client approval
  • Provide customer service via phone and email for general inquiries and customer requests
  • Occasional inside sales support
  • Sales negotiation


Requirements

  • Theoretical knowledge or education/experience with HVAC mechanical equipment is an asset
  • Experience with Microsoft programs
  • Selfmotivated personable individual who is eager to learn
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Valid driver s license
  • Ability to demonstrate initiative and success in business development
  • A degree in Mechanical Engineering or a Diploma in Engineering Technology would be an asset
  • Practical experience promoting and selling hydraulic products such as boilers pumps fan coils heat pumps VRF and fin tube radiation would be considered an asset.
