A comprehensive role like this one calls for taking up the following responsibilities:
Single point of contact for end users to receive support and maintenance for computers and network systems.
Installing diagnosing repairing maintaining and upgrading all hardware and equipment (including but not limited to PCs terminals printers and scanners) to ensure optimal workstation performance.
Diagnose and quickly resolve a wide range of Windows applications and networking problems to help minimize downtime.
Troubleshooting network connectivity in a LAN/WAN environment.
Works with vendor support contacts to resolve technical problems.
Desktop computing equipment and software.
Ensure desktop computers interconnect seamlessly with diverse systems including associated validation systems file servers email servers and computers.
Configuring and maintaining server and firewall equipment.
Maintain computer equipment inventory and track additions/changes.
Conferencing systems application servers and administrative systems.
Works to purchase hardware and software.
Assesses functional needs to determine specifications for purchases
Orders computer supplies.
Creating virtual machines in the MS HyperV environment according to requirements and troubleshooting related issues.
Resolve issues related to Active Directory DHCP and DNS
Troubleshooting MS O365related issues ( E.g. MS Outlook Teams Share point)
Knowledge on VLANs IP Subnetting Routing VPN.
As a potential candidate you are expected to have the following skills (technical):
Diploma or degree in the field of computer science or Networks.
Minimum 3 years of work experience in a technical support position.
Minimum 3 years experience in using HyperV Server 2022.
Proficiency in AD (Active Directory) and Windows servers.
Industry certifications including A N and/or MCSE/CCNA is a plus.
Analytical and problemsolving skills.
Good communication (verbal and written) skills with the ability to communicate with a network team based in the USA.
