Job Description

Role: Assistant Trading Manager

Location of Role: Newry

Role Purpose: To provide Category support and management within the Commercial function of the business. Delivering high performance against KPIs and promoting a culture of continuous improvement. Work with colleagues to develop and deliver a profitable Category winning offer in the markets we service.

Accountable to: Senior Trading Manager

Key Relationships: Department Leaders Sales Operations People & Culture Finance & IT Customer Service Marketing together with all External Suppliers and Customers.

Responsibilities

  • Ownership and support of category Sales and Margin performance vs targets
  • Effective budget performance monitoring
  • Drive profitable category growth through cost of goods and sell price management.
  • Manage and develop range to meet customer demand
  • Implement a Wholesale and Retail promotional plan to promote value and drive sales in the markets we operate.
  • Manage price file accuracy
  • Working with our Supply Partners and all other stakeholders internal and external
  • Drive a culture of continuous improvement and best practise in “ways of working”
  • Liaison and presentations to colleagues in relation to category plans
  • Support the STM on the Category strategy Supplier negotiations and Joint Business Plans with our supply partners
  • Provide analysis to ensure the Category is delivering it’s KPI’s on value range service with our supply partners.
  • Providing support managing stocks with our Replenishment Team ensuring optimum service levels “best in trade” for our Retail Partners in all categories
  • Effectively communicate with internal and external stakeholders at all levels
  • Ensure the organisation’s People & Culture policies and procedures are followed

Job Type: Fulltime

Pay: £30000.00£35000.00 per year
