Systems Software Engineer

Our client a world leader in diagnostics and life sciences Roche Diagnostics is looking for Systems Software Engineer based out of Santa Clara CA.

Duration: LongTerm Contract (High possibility of extension)

Job Summary:

Participate in the development of the client s sequencing platform focusing on the integration of process hardware and software into the sequencer as well as troubleshooting.

This includes:

• Operation of instrumentation setting up biologicals and buffer solutions. Initiating runs and managing data.
  
• Editing of run information in Python C
  
• Protocol development and optimization using Python and C software languages
  
• Script development for system testing and troubleshooting using Python
  
• The development of test and measurement methodology for the characterization of the system subsystems and processes.
  
• The design execution analysis and presentation of experiments to measure specific system performance parameters. Development of accurate system subsystem and process descriptions through a deeper understanding of the underlying system physics.
  
• Preparation of components of control software for system operation and component testing.
  

Key Skills:

Programming experience with python required C a plus

Understanding of DNA manipulation techniques and sequencing methodologies a plus
