Were on the hunt for a talented and experienced Electrical Technician to power up our evergrowing team!

Your Role:

As an Electrical Technician youll play a crucial role in inspecting maintaining testing and repairing PLCs instrumentation control and automation equipment. Your expertise will keep our plants running smoothly.

What You ll Be Doing:

  • Diverse Work Environment: No two days are the same! Youll enjoy the thrill of working outdoors tackling unique challenges diagnosing control faults and replacing control equipment.
  • Team Collaboration: Join a supportive team of Electrical Engineers Control Engineers Technicians and Electricians. Youll always have backup when you need it.
  • HandsOn Projects: Follow maintenance plans engage in installation projects electrical faultfinding and emergency breakdown repairs to ensure continuous plant operation.

Requirements

Key Responsibilities:

  • Install modify and commission new plant equipment to high standards.
  • Diagnose and repair faults on plant control systems.
  • Perform instrumentation control and automation maintenance on production equipment for asphalt and concrete.
  • Conduct risk assessments and create method statements for safe installation or maintenance activities.
  • Provide technical advice and training support for trainees.
  • Quickly and efficiently repair plant failures to minimize production loss.

About You:

  • Technical Skills: Ability to read and faultfind from schematic drawings with experience in inverter drives relay logic and PLCs.
  • Operational Understanding: Practical knowledge of plant and control systems are desirable.
  • Instrumentation Expertise: Experience in calibration and maintenance of frontline instrumentation.
  • Qualifications: Ideally HNC level or City and Guilds NVQ level 3 (or equivalent) in an electrical subject.
  • Driving Licence: A valid UK driving licence is essential as you ll cover multiple sites.
  • Physical Fitness: Able to work at height and complete IPAF training. Flexibility to work outofhours when necessary.
