About this Job:
As a Senior Accountant part of the Private Enterprise Group your responsibilities will include the following:
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and execute audit fieldwork for private companies in compliance with Canadian GAAP and IFRS
- Lead and mentor junior team members in the execution of audit fieldwork
- Canadian tax experience including preparation of personal and corporate tax returns and various other required filings
- Identify and communicate accounting and auditing issues to management
- Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures
- Develop and maintain strong client relationships
Qualifications:
- Minimum 2 years of experience in public accounting with a focus on audit of private companies and owner managed clients.
- Strong understanding and demonstration of technical knowledge specifically ASPE ASNPO GAAP
- CPA designation or working towards a CPA
- Strong analytical organizational and problemsolving skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong leadership and mentoring abilities
- Ability to manage time and adhere to deadlines
- Handson experience in accounting software such as Taxprep CaseWare or similar softwares
