Overview
As a parttime DM Hepatology Gastroenterologist Consultant you will play a crucial role in providing specialized medical care and expertise to patients with liver pancreas and gastrointestinal disorders. Your contribution to the healthcare team will be essential in diagnosing treating and managing complex hepatology and gastroenterology cases ensuring the delivery of highquality patient care.
Key responsibilities
- Conducting consultations and assessments for patients with hepatology and gastroenterology concerns.
- Ordering and reviewing diagnostic tests such as imaging studies biopsies and blood work.
- Developing and implementing comprehensive treatment plans for patients including medication management and lifestyle interventions.
- Performing specialized procedures such as endoscopic examinations and liver biopsies.
- Participating in multidisciplinary discussions and collaborating with other healthcare professionals to ensure holistic patient care.
- Providing education and counseling to patients and their families regarding their conditions and treatment options.
- Contributing to clinical research and academic endeavors within the field of hepatology and gastroenterology.
- Adhering to regulatory and ethical standards in healthcare practice and patient confidentiality.
Required qualifications
- DM or DNB in Hepatology or Gastroenterology.
- Valid medical license to practice as a Consultant in Hepatology/Gastroenterology.
- Minimum of 5 years of postqualification experience in hepatology and gastroenterology.
- Proven expertise in diagnosing and managing complex liver and gastrointestinal diseases.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with healthcare professionals and patients.
- Demonstrated commitment to continuing medical education and professional development.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Proficiency in electronic medical record systems and clinical documentation.
- Sound knowledge of current evidencebased practices and clinical guidelines in hepatology and gastroenterology.
