Overview

Key responsibilities

• Administering general anesthesia to patients in the operating room
• Managing the sedation and airway of critically ill patients in the ICU
• Monitoring and assessing patients conditions during and after anesthesia
• Collaborating with surgeons physicians and other healthcare professionals to develop patient care plans
• Providing emergency care in critical situations
• Operating and maintaining specialized medical equipment
• Documenting patient care and maintaining accurate medical records
• Participating in quality improvement initiatives and research activities
• Providing education and training to healthcare staff and residents
• Participating in oncall duties as required

Required qualifications

• MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school
• Board certification in Anesthesiology and Critical Care Medicine
• Valid state medical license and DEA registration
• Fellowship training in Critical Care Anesthesiology
• Proven experience in general anesthesia administration and critical care management
• Demonstrated proficiency in airway management and emergency procedures
• Uptodate knowledge of anesthetic agents techniques and equipment
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work effectively in a fastpaced highstress environment
• Strong problemsolving and decisionmaking abilities
• Commitment to patient safety and quality care
• Advanced life support certification (ACLS)
• Basic life support certification (BLS)
• Demonstrated commitment to continued medical education and professional development
• Ability to collaborate effectively in a multidisciplinary team
