Key responsibilities

• Assessing and triaging patients based on the severity of their condition
• Providing emergency medical care and treatment to patients
• Ordering diagnostic tests and interpreting the results
• Performing procedures such as wound care splinting and suturing
• Administering medications and intravenous fluids
• Collaborating with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care
• Documenting patient medical records and treatment plans
• Communicating with patients and their families to provide updates and address concerns
• Participating in disaster management and mass casualty response
• Attending to medical emergencies within the hospital premises
• Conducting patient education on medical conditions and preventive care
• Staying updated on emergency medical protocols and procedures
• Ensuring compliance with medical and ethical standards
• Participating in continuous medical education and training programs
• Monitoring and maintaining medical equipment and supplies

Required qualifications

• MBBS degree and valid medical license
• Proven experience in emergency medicine or relevant field
• Strong knowledge of emergency medical procedures and protocols
• Ability to remain calm and focused in highpressure situations
• Excellent decisionmaking and critical thinking skills
• Effective communication and interpersonal abilities
• Empathy and compassion towards patients and their families
• Ability to work efficiently within a multidisciplinary team
• Proficiency in using medical equipment and tools
• Commitment to ongoing professional development
• Willingness to work in rotating shifts and handle oncall duties
• Knowledge of electronic medical records systems
• Understanding of medical ethics and patient confidentiality
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification
