Overview
An Ophthalmologist Phaco Surgeon plays a critical role in providing specialized eye care by diagnosing and treating a variety of eye conditions performing surgeries and ensuring the overall eye health and vision of patients. Key responsibilities
- Performing phacoemulsification and other advanced cataract surgeries with precision and expertise
- Evaluating and diagnosing eye conditions and diseases such as glaucoma macular degeneration and diabetic retinopathy
- Developing treatment plans and providing specialized care for patients including preoperative and postoperative care
- Conducting comprehensive eye examinations and prescribing corrective measures such as glasses or contact lenses
- Collaborating with other healthcare professionals to ensure integrated patient care and optimal outcomes
- Participating in research educational activities and continuous medical learning to stay updated with the latest advancements in ophthalmology
- Adhering to ethical and legal standards in patient care and maintaining patient confidentiality
Required qualifications
- Medical degree (MD/DO) in Ophthalmology from an accredited institution
- Completion of a residency program in Ophthalmology
- Board certification in Ophthalmology
- Fellowship or additional training in Phacoemulsification and Cataract Surgery
- Licenses to practice medicine and perform surgeries in the state of Ghaziabad
- Demonstrated expertise in performing phacoemulsification surgeries and managing complex eye conditions
- Strong surgical skills and dexterity with attention to detail and precision
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with patients families and healthcare teams
- Commitment to providing compassionate patientcentered care and upholding medical ethics
- Ability to work in a fastpaced dynamic environment and handle multiple priorities efficiently
- Proficiency in utilizing electronic medical records and clinical documentation
