Registered Nurse - Emergency Services Nights

Overview:

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform initial triage assessments and prioritize patient care needs
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed
• Coordinate with emergency medical services for critical patient transfers
• Provide emotional support and education to patients and their families
• Respond to medical emergencies and provide immediate interventions
• Document patient care and outcomes accurately
• Adhere to established protocols and standards of care
• Participate in continuous training and professional development
• Collaborate with healthcare providers to ensure comprehensive patient care
• Maintain a clean and organized emergency department environment
• Adhere to infection control and patient safety protocols
• Communicate effectively with team members and other departments
• Assist in emergency procedures and medical interventions
• Stay updated on best practices in emergency nursing
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives

Required Qualifications:

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Associate or Bachelors degree in Nursing
• Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
• Proficiency in electronic medical records (EMR) systems
• Strong assessment and criticalthinking skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
• Ability to work efficiently in highstress situations
• Knowledge of emergency procedures and protocols
• Commitment to patient advocacy and ethical nursing practice
• Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team
• Willingness to work night shifts and weekends
• Uptodate knowledge of emergency medicine trends and research
• Strong organizational and timemanagement skills
