Introduction : The importance the average Asian family places on education based on the time and
percentage of income they are willing to spend on it far outweighs its importance in any other part of
the world.
This is clearly been reflected in the growth of the overall higher education market in India.
With GER expected to touch 50% by the year 2035 there seems to be a huge potential opportunity.
Challenges with Higher Education Institutions : In recent years the higher education landscape has
become increasingly competitive as universities and colleges strive to recruit and retain highquality
students. Like many serviceoriented organizations universities are facing an increasingly competitive
environment in which they must find ways to differentiate their institution and tell their story. Increase
in no. of Colleges & Universities (roughly around 900 Universities and 39K HEIs) Increase in Student

Job Description
The SEM Manager is accountable for successfully managing paid search campaigns for enterpriselevel
clients. This team member works under the direction of the Director Paid Search and in coordination
with a variety of crossfunctional team members.
Responsibilities:
Plan develop and implement SEM strategies.
Execute tests collect and analyse data identify trends and insights in order to achieve maximum
ROI in paid search campaigns
Track report and analyse website analytics and PPC initiatives and campaigns
Manage campaign expenses staying on budget estimating monthly costs and reconciling
discrepancies
Optimise copy and landing pages for paid search engine marketing campaigns
Perform ongoing paid keyword discovery expansion and optimisation
Research and analyse competitor advertising links
Requirements:
Proven SEM experience and success managing PPC campaigns across Google Facebook Yahoo and
Bing
Wellversed in performance marketing conversion and online customer acquisition
Uptodate with the latest trends and best practices in search engine marketing
Indepth experience with bid management tools
Experience with website analytics tools (e.g Google Analytics GTM NetInsight Omniture
WebTrends Etc)
Strong analytical skills and experience generating SEM reports
Familiarity with A/B and multivariate experiments
Working knowledge of HTML CSS and JavaScript development and constraints
Past experience in the education industry is preferable.
