Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic General Manager to lead our operations in Nigeria. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in the oil and gas industry with a minimum of 14 years of experience. This role requires a strategic thinker with excellent leadership skills and the ability to drive business growth and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Leadership and Management:
- Provide strategic direction and leadership to the Nigeria operations ensuring alignment with the companys overall objectives and goals.
- Oversee daily operations ensuring efficiency productivity and compliance with company policies and industry regulations.
- Foster a culture of safety innovation and continuous improvement.
- Business Development:
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the oil and gas sector.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders including clients partners government agencies and community leaders.
- Oversee contract negotiations and manage key accounts to ensure longterm business relationships.
- Financial Management:
- Develop and manage budgets financial forecasts and reports to ensure profitability and financial stability.
- Monitor financial performance and implement strategies to achieve financial targets.
- Optimize resource allocation and manage cost control measures.
- Operational Excellence:
- Ensure the efficient and effective operation of all business units within the Nigeria division.
- Implement best practices in operational processes project management and quality assurance.
- Oversee the maintenance and upgrading of facilities equipment and infrastructure.
- Regulatory Compliance:
- Ensure compliance with all local national and international laws and regulations pertaining to the oil and gas industry.
- Maintain uptodate knowledge of industry trends regulations and standards.
- Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure regulatory compliance.
- Human Resources Management:
- Lead mentor and develop a highperforming team.
- Oversee talent acquisition retention and development initiatives.
- Promote a positive and inclusive work environment that encourages employee engagement and growth.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor s degree in Engineering Business Administration or a related field; a Master s degree is preferred.
- Minimum of 14 years of experience in the oil and gas industry with at least 5 years in a senior management role.
- Proven track record of successfully managing largescale operations and achieving business growth.
- Strong financial acumen and experience in budget management and financial reporting.
- Excellent leadership communication and interpersonal skills.
- Indepth knowledge of the oil and gas industry including regulatory requirements and market trends.
- Ability to work effectively in a fastpaced and challenging environment.
