Job Description
This role of Competency Head is responsible for heading the specific competency within the Media & Communication nonUS region business unit and is accountable for managing the endtoend responsibilities in building managing enhancing and fulfilling skills in line with business needs to ensure business goals are met on time.
Key Responsibilities: In this role you will be responsible for:
Work with BU head account heads or delivery heads to get the competency needs and different requirements aligned with business growth
Chart vision and roadmap for technology investments and solutions to be built
Hire build and scale a strong technical team of Subject Matter Experts Architects Leads and Senior Developers in areas of cloud web technologies and Analytics competencies.
Identifying incubating and developing new skills in line with the business forecast requirements
Provide PreSales support to global business opportunities for both existing clients and new prospects.
Work closely with Marketing Business Development and Operations to define and deliver new products and enhancements
Develop deep relationships with leading Customer Experience product partners
Deploy individual development plans offering growth career and transition path for high potential talents.
Define competency technology roadmap to adapt futuristic changes to the tools and processes in delivering the products
Bring thought leadership and ensure visibility and brand building through articles blogs white papers webinars and participation in partner led and other events.
Provides market research and assistance to leadership to identify the best practices of competency development in similar industries.
Regular interventions and assessments of effectiveness through business impact analysis Project delivery impacts conduct schedule cadence and provides regular feedback to technology groups
Create overall technology standards and practices and drive adherence
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for the role: Over the next 12 months this role s success gets measured on:
Skills availability/deployment time for the business needs
Billability of talents ratio
Revenue Targets
KEY JOB REQUIREMENTS: In this role you will be successful if you have:
Experience:
Bachelor or postgraduate in Computer Science Information Technology or related Engineering with overall 18 years of experience in the technology domain/ Software industry.
Minimum 10 years experience in handling Delivery and competency development in digital or cloud or analytics domain.
Skills & Competencies:
MustHave:
Strong expertise in Project Management and Delivery Account Management aspects in technology organization.
Understands the breadth and depth of Cloud Web Technologies and Analytical technologies in the areas of customer Experience Solutions Data and Integrations etc.
Deeply understands evolving technology trends and customer needs and invests in building capabilities ahead of the curve
Strong customer advisory skills
Must have led large crossfunctional technology teams in the past
Must be a speaker or written blogs on digital platforms.
Indepth knowledge of cloud web technologies or analytics architecture design and development
Outstanding communication interpersonal and leadership skills
Detailoriented & good problemsolving capabilities.
Proficient in Excel or Power BI and presentation tools.

ADDITIONAL NOTES
Masters in business administration (MBA) from top institute is plus
Certification in Project Management or competency development or cloud or web technologies is plus
