Junior Accountant
Overview
The Junior Accountant plays a crucial role in the financial operations of the organization. They are responsible for providing support to the accounting department by performing basic accounting tasks and assisting in financial reporting. Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the preparation of financial statements
- Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions
- Reconcile bank statements and credit card transactions
- Assist in the preparation of budget forecasts
- Conduct basic bookkeeping activities
- Assist in the preparation of tax returns
- Assist in the maintenance of financial records and documentation
- Prepare and submit financial reports to management
- Support senior accountants in various accounting tasks
- Assist in the audit process
Required Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Accounting Finance or related field
- Strong understanding of basic accounting principles
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Knowledge of financial regulations and compliance
- Ability to handle confidential information with integrity
- Relevant internship or entrylevel accounting experience is a plus
