Key Responsibilities:
- Financial Reporting and Analysis: Prepare financial statements including balance sheets income statements and cash flow statements.
- Analyze financial data to assess the financial performance of an organization and provide insights to stakeholders.
- Audit and Assurance: Conduct audits of financial statements to ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements. Provide assurance to stakeholders regarding the accuracy and reliability of financial information.
- Taxation: Advise clients or employers on tax planning strategies to minimize tax liabilities while ensuring compliance with tax laws and regulations. Prepare and file tax returns for individuals businesses and organizations.
- Financial Planning and Budgeting: Assist in developing financial plans and budgets to guide business operations and decisionmaking. Provide recommendations for improving financial performance and achieving financial goals.
- Risk Management: Identify and assess financial risks faced by an organization such as market risk credit risk and operational risk. Develop strategies to mitigate these risks and ensure financial stability.
- Management Accounting: Provide management with financial information and analysis to support decisionmaking and strategic planning. This may include cost analysis budget variance analysis and performance measurement.
- Forensic Accounting: Investigate financial irregularities fraud and misconduct. Provide expert witness testimony and support in legal proceedings related to financial matters.
- Financial Advisory: Provide financial advisory services to clients such as mergers and acquisitions capital raising and business valuation. Assist clients in making informed financial decisions to achieve their objectives.
- Compliance and Regulation: Stay uptodate with changes in accounting standards tax laws and regulations. Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and assist in implementing internal controls to safeguard assets and prevent fraud.
- Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain relationships with clients or employers providing them with timely and professional financial advice and services. Understand their needs and objectives to deliver tailored solutions.
