Job Description

Job Summary:

Our client a leading manufacturer and retailer of outdoor structures is looking for a Sales Manager to join their team based in the U.S. This position is based in Connellsville PA now with a new location being developed in Dunbar PA by the end of this year which would only be 12 minute/6 miles drive from the current location.

The Sales Manager is responsible for overseeing daily operations of their lot & reporting pertinent/important information to upper management as needed. You will generally be running your own business. Our client will provide support education & share knowledge that will allow you to be successful.

Responsibilities:

  • Generate Sales causing positive revenue resulting in profit for the company
  • Provide appropriate coverage of the sales office during all hours of operation (min of 44 hours per week) 52 weeks of the year
  • Must be available twice a year for corporate Sales and Marketing Training when requested
  • Design creative displays and traffic flow on the sales location
  • Ensure appropriate signage is properly placed including current sales and specials.
  • Ensure accurate pricing is prominently displayed on each unit
  • Create effective advertising IE.; print media or eadvertising (Facebook LinkedIn Etc.)
  • Provide timely attractive photographs of stock units for current ads
  • Guide customers through the purchasing experience
    • Communicate a competent understanding of the product including materials and assembly
  • Report and schedule all major repairs immediately following delivery
  • Complete minor repairs due to damage upon delivery and those covered by the product warranty
  • Conduct site checks and home consultations
  • Schedule deliveries with the customer and coordinate deliveries with the drivers
    • Remove any product or debris from building prior to delivery
    • Interact effectively and efficiently with drivers creating a team environment
  • Keep a clean and organized sales office
    • Display appropriate business signage (certificate of insurance labor law posters and etc.)
  • Maintain an orderly display lot including but not limited to mowing weed control and basic landscaping
  • Keep all stock buildings in good repair
    • Remove shingle strips/netting from stock buildings
    • Regularly inspect stock for damage or vandalism
  • Maintain a variety of stock structures and reorder when stock models have been sold and need replaced
  • Conduct regular inventories and work with the headquarters support staff to reconcile inventory discrepancies
  • Maintain an ongoing stock building list to track allowable discounts
  • Manage open customer accounts and ensure aged account receivables are kept to a minimum
    • Collect on pastdue accounts (repositioned as a subbullet)
    • Provide detailed reporting on all accounts receivable as requested
  • Execute daily banking procedures
    • Make deposits as required in accordance to the SOP guidance for handling of all receipts especially cash
  • Manage Profit and Loss (Income and Expense) reports and control variable expenses

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma
  • 12 years of sales and managerial experience Preferred
  • Valid State Drivers License Required
    • Commercial Drivers License (CDL) A Plus
  • Forklift License A Plus
  • Basic carpentry and/or construction experience Preferred
