Title: Argo Software Engineer

Duration: 4 Months

Location: Remote

Working Hours: 40 Hrs/Week

JOB DESCRIPTION:

• Owns the development implementation assessment and support of one or more components of an environment application or platform.
• Collaborate with the engineering team to plan estimate design develop test and maintain web and desktopbased business applications (Argo Teller 21 application and interfaces with various peripherals ECR Check scanners printers etc)
• Independently develops clean maintainable testable code for work assigned; performs peer code reviews.
• Participates in the overall health performance and availability and actively works resolution of system and client experience impacts for one or more environments applications or platforms
• Package and support deployment of releases
• Embraces mentorship and training from senior engineers
• Provides continuous improvement ideas to reduce expenses and/or improve efficiency
• Applies recommended information security standards when developing code and seeks to validate
• Assesses the technical viability of new and emerging products and technologies
• Contributes to technical documentation specifications and project artifacts for developing code
• Identifies potential standards and best practices

EDUCATION/SKILLS:

• 5 years of working experience in software development and ability to learn Argo
• Preferred minimum 5 years of Argo experience ideally in Teller platform
• Experience with traditional client/server architecture (ideally Argo/Bankpro experience); Argo web/ API experience is a plus
• Experience in developing interfaces for Argo Teller platform with CAD devices Check imaging software Electronic Cash recycler machines is ideal
• Experience working with Alogent Front Counter is a plus.
• Strong working knowledge of DB2 Microsoft SQL Server and other relational databases
• Experience working with SOAP and RESTFUL web services
• Experience working with shell scripts or Visual Basic
• Experience working with Web methods JavaScript CSS HTML Azure Dev/Ops XML C# and .Net is a plus
• Must be open to supporting production issue analysis and resolution and on call rotation
• Strong knowledge and experience with SDLC methodologies (Waterfall Agile)
• Experience in Banking / Financial Industry is a plus
• Ability to trouble shoot software and problem solving skills
• Strong attention to detail.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Selfstarter and driven.
• Bachelors degree in Computer Science Information Technology or a related field or equivalent experience.
