Job Description
TPF Recruitment is recruiting for an Accounts Assistant to join a fantastic accountancy practice near Folkestone. You will be responsible for bookkeeping management accounts and vat returns for a mixed and varied client base across Kent and the SouthEast with the opportunity to get involved with statutory accounts and tax work in the future depending on your aspirations. You will carve a key role here adding value to clients and building relationships within a growing team and firm.
This very successful firm of chartered accountants based in Folkestone has developed a strong reputation for delivering quality services along with building strong relationships with its varied client base. The firm offers a very supportive and team focused environment reflected by a very low staff turnover and long serving staff.
Joining as an Accounts Assistant based from their Folkestone office you will carve a key hands on role as you develop within this firm and environment. Acting for varied sole traders partnerships and limited companies of varying sizes and industry sectors you will deliver management accounts VAT and payroll services to a range of clients as well as the opportunity to work in statuary accounts and tax.
- Prepare accounts from client records using a variety of software
- Draft basic tax computations and complete personal tax returns
- Prepare monthly bookkeeping management accounts and VAT returns where appropriate
- Deal with initial queries on accounts and liaise with clients in a professional manger
- Manage own time within predetermined budget for assignments
Requirements
- You may be AAT studying qualified or qualified by experience.
- You will have anything from 3 5 years experience within a clientfacing capacity either in practice a bureau or selfemployed.
- Experience of software such as Xero QuickBooks Sage Kashflow etc. would be advantageous.

You will be ACA/ACCA or qualified by experience with at least 3 years experience within practice. You will have worked as Semi Senir or Senior accountant within practice Experience of Iris and cloud software such as Xero/ Quickbooks would be advantageous
