As a Team Leader of Non-Financial Risk Management at Singapore Gulf Bank, you will be responsible for overseeing the Operational, Reputational, Outsourcing, and Business Continuity Management (BCM) risk functions within the organization. You will report to the Chief Risk Officer and will play a crucial role in ensuring the bank's non-financial risks are identified, assessed, and managed effectively, in compliance with regulatory requirements set by the Central Bank of Bahrain.
Responsibilities:
1. Lead a team of risk management professionals and provide guidance, mentorship, and support in their day-to-day activities related to non-financial risk management.
2. Develop and implement risk management policies, procedures, and frameworks to identify, assess, and monitor operational, reputational, outsourcing, and BCM risks.
3. Conduct regular risk assessments to identify potential operational weaknesses, reputational vulnerabilities, and risks associated with outsourcing activities.
4. Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including senior management and business units, to ensure non-financial risk management aligns with the overall business strategy and objectives.
5. Monitor and analyze key risk indicators and provide timely reports and recommendations to senior management and the board of directors.
6. Stay updated with industry best practices and regulatory changes related to non-financial risk management and ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
7. Develop and maintain strong relationships with external auditors, regulators, and other relevant stakeholders.
8. Lead and participate in risk committees and provide expertise and insights on non-financial risk-related matters.
9. Develop and implement business continuity plans and strategies to ensure the bank's ability to respond effectively to disruptions and crises.
10. Provide training and development opportunities to team members to enhance their non-financial risk management skills and knowledge.
Skills and Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Risk Management, or a related field. Advanced degree or professional certifications will be an added advantage.
2. 5-10 years of experience in non-financial risk management, preferably within the banking or financial services industry.
3. In-depth knowledge of operational risk, reputational risk, outsourcing risk, and business continuity management concepts, methodologies, and regulatory requirements.
4. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify and assess non-financial risks and develop appropriate risk mitigation strategies.
5. Excellent leadership and team management abilities, with a track record of successfully leading and developing a team.
6. Proven ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels, including senior management, regulators, and auditors.
7. Sound understanding of the regulatory landscape and compliance requirements in the banking industry, specifically in Bahrain.
8. Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines while maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
9. Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate and build relationships with cross-functional teams.
10. Proficiency in risk management software and tools, as well as advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel and other relevant analytical tools.
Full Time
