TechIT Internship at 42 Berlin

42 Berlin is a recently launched disruptive higher education NGO/startup educating up to 600 students to become cuttingedge techies and software engineers in a practicebased peerlearning environment.

42 Berlin is based on the internationally successful concept of Ecole 42 which was founded in 2013 in Paris and now trains 18k students in 50 schools across the globe.

Tasks

As Tech/IT Intern at 42 Berlin you will support the Tech team in the maintenance and improvement of the 42 IT infrastructure and software development. Tasks include but are not limited to:

• Making our infrastructure and network more secure
• Development of a project based on your interests to achieve your learning goals and provide value to the school
• Deployment of new software and updates
• Improving the technical student experience
• Process optimization and automation. e.g. with Python and Ansible

Requirements

Essential:

• Right to live and work in Germany
• Fluent written and verbal communication in English
• Alignment with our values (inclusive and openminded)
• Friendly kind helpful proactive and flexible personality
• Interest in automation and solving technical problems focusing on reliability and maintainability
• Comfortable using MacOS and Linux (Ubuntu or Rocky)
• Candidates from any 42 school should have completed the Common Core before the internship begins

Nice to have:

• Experience with APIs
• Python Bash Scripting C/C Databases
• Automation with Ansible
• Knowledge of Cisco IOS CLI VMware
