Job Description:
We are looking for a Data Engineering Lead to join our Report Analytics & Data team. In this critical role you will develop and lead a Data Engineering & Analytics strategy aligned with our broader Analytics goals delivering robust solutions to drive key business decisions. You will work closely with Engineering Leadership and stakeholders across the company to execute strategic priorities in line with our product and technology roadmaps.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage Data Engineers in agile software development teams partnering with product peers and Agile leadership.
- Serve as the technical system owner for assigned applications services and projects ensuring their health security and optimal performance.
- Build trust with team members peers and stakeholders fostering a collaborative and productive environment.
- Plan drive and track project results including preparing estimates forecasts roadmaps and execution plans. Monitor quality and schedule adherence.
- Demonstrate expertise in Data Engineering participating in the creation and implementation of standards and guidelines.
- Identify and mitigate issues and risks presenting their business impact to management promptly.
- Collaborate with strategic vendors to define direct and ensure delivery of contracted services.
- Inspire teams to innovate improve efficiency and enhance team dynamics processes and quality.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science or a related field with 10 years of experience in Data Engineering.
- 3 years of experience in Data Engineering management.
- Solid knowledge of data warehousing building data marts and data sharing.
- Proficiency in Data Engineering technologies including Snowflake and cloud platforms such as AWS.
- Strong knowledge of SQL and Database Technologies.
- Experience with MicroStrategy reporting platform and ELT orchestration using Airflow.
- Experience in Agile environments with Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) pipelines.
- Ability to set clear goals foster accountability and communicate a broader vision while understanding technical details.
- Problemsolving skills with the ability to challenge conventional approaches when necessary.
- Selfmotivated and customerfocused with effective communication and facilitation skills.
- Experience with Scrum Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) and Rally is preferred.
- Prior experience with vendor management and offshore delivery teams is preferred.
