Position Overview:
We are seeking a detailoriented and organized individual to join our Finance Department as a Payroll Clerk. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of payroll procedures exceptional numerical aptitude and a dedication to maintaining confidentiality. This role offers the opportunity to work closely with our finance team and contribute to the smooth operation of our payroll function.
Responsibilities:
- Process payroll accurately and in a timely manner for all employees
- Verify timekeeping records and resolve any discrepancies
- Calculate wages deductions and withholdings
- Ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations
- Prepare and distribute payroll reports as needed
- Address employee inquiries regarding payroll matters
- Assist with payrollrelated projects and initiatives as assigned
Qualifications:
- Associate or Bachelors degree in accounting finance or a related field preferred
- Proven 2 years of experience as a payroll clerk or in a similar role
- Strong understanding of payroll principles and practices
- Proficiency in payroll software and Microsoft Office Suite especially Excel
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fastpaced environment
