Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

  1. Lead and manage a team of accountants, providing guidance, coaching, and support to ensure high performance and professional development.
  2. Prepare and analyze financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
  3. Managing tax risks and ensuring all tax obligations are met ensuring compliance with all financial regulations.
  4. Produce monthly Profit & Loss statements
  5. Collaborate with senior management to develop annual budgets and long-term financial forecasts. Monitor financial performance against budgetary targets and provide insights to support strategic decision-making.
  6. Stay abreast of changes in accounting regulations and ensure compliance with relevant laws and standards across the GCC, Lebanon, Jordan and Egypt regions.
  7. Oversee the preparation and analysis of financial statements, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and compliance with relevant accounting standards.
  8. Implement and maintain internal controls to safeguard financial assets and ensure compliance with company policies.
  9. Identify opportunities for process optimization and efficiency improvements within the accounting function.
  10. Implement best practices and streamline accounting processes to enhance overall productivity.
  11. Collaborate with the General Manager in the development of annual budgets and forecasts for the region.
  12. Monitor actual financial performance against budget and provide analysis on variances.
  13. Coordinate with internal and external auditors during audits, ensuring a smooth and efficient audit process.
  14. Address audit findings and implement corrective actions as necessary.
  15. Work closely with other departments, such as Operations and Sales, to gather financial information and support strategic decision-making.
  16. Conduct regular performance reviews, set goals, and provide constructive feedback to team members.

Job Requirements & Skills:

  1. A Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or equivalent certification is preferred.
  2. Minimum of 3 years of work experience in accounting and/or finance roles.
  3. Understanding of regulatory standards in the GCC, Lebanon, Jordan, and Egypt regions.
  4. Exceptional organizational skills.
  5. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  6. Knowledge of Zoho Books is highly desirable.
