This is a remote position.
We are currently seeking an Electrical Harness Design Engineer with exceptional CATIA V5 experience to provide some shortterm consulting work for a leader in engineering solutions. This role focuses on providing support for electrical harness installation including coordination with cross functional groups to determine interface issues and update 3D data with latest information. This role is remote with roughly 40% travel to Oklahoma City OK.
Responsibilities
- Provide support for Wire Harness Manufacturing and Installation
- Product Lifecycle management configuration management requirement traceability and related processes of EMI/EMC requirements for Electrical Wire and Installation Design.
- Preparation of manufacturing BOMs.
- Configure customer business process with OOTB (able to define / design / test).
- Support and document high level process for the following:
- Organizing electrical CAD structure allowing concurrent data access.
- Securing modification of data.
- Release and version process for electrical data.
- Catalog usage for reusable components.
- Wire routing point and wire harness flattening processes.
Requirements
- B.S. in electrical engineering mechanical engineering or other relevant discipline.
- 5 years of working experience in relevant industry.
- Excellent problem solving and teamwork skills working with many people and teams.
- Experience with handson design prototyping and testing.
- Proficiency with CATIA V5 Electric Workbench.
- Experience with Mentor Graphics Capital
- Experience developing tools and processes
- 3DEXPERIENCE Electrical applications
3+ years experience of OEM integration work. Skilled at creating and reviewing technical schematics, logical and functional diagrams, and engineering specifications. Previous experience with aircraft systems. Working knowledge of 2X.1309 analyses and processes, including Advisory Circular 23.1309-1E, SAE ARP 4761, and SAE ARP 4754A. Working knowledge of DO-160G environmental qualification. Basic knowledge of FAA regulations and guidance material and industry standards. Bachelor of Science in Engineering required; Electrical, Mechanical, or Aerospace Engineering preferred. Desired Working knowledge of avionics and related equipment, technical standard orders, and minimum performance standards. Working knowledge of DO-178C and DO-254 processes and aviation database management. Previous experience managing complex sets of requirements. Previous experience preparing and presenting design reviews for complex, highly integrated systems. Previous experience defining system controls, crew indications, and flight manual procedures Previous experience in testing, including instrumenting, data acquisition, and documenting and analyzing results. Whole-aircraft FAA certification program experience, Part 23 or Part 27 preferred. Experience and involvement with industry groups to develop consensus standards. 5+ years of relevant industry experience. Private pilot certificate or higher. Familiar with Dassault Syst mes engineering and management tools.
