Job Description
Title: Network / Systems Solutions Architect
Location: Los Altos CA (100% onsite)
Duration: Contract Type: 6 months CTH (ON SITE)

Requirement:
- L2/L3 Networking experience within Juniper and Palo (panorama) candidate will be involved in a switch upgrade project for Juniper
- Ticketing relating to higher level network and system administration issues
- Candidates need a good blend of networking and systems experience. Candidates needs to be willing to learn and open to helping with other things such as systems since IT team is relatively small.
- Siloed experience or candidates that want to be siloed will not work well here. Needs candidates that are selfstarters eager to learn willing to help others initiative Im going to fix that
Experience in at least 3 of the 5 categories:
Networking Juniper/Palo
System Administration:
Any combination of the 3 Mac is a plus
Windows
Mac
Linux Ubuntu highly preferred
Cloud engineering AWS Azure GCP (any of the 3 the more the better)

- Looking for a Tier 3 level engineer almost at the level of a Solutions Architect as this person will be involved in guiding the team to make decisions/provide suggestions relating to storage/virtualization technology.
- Top priority will be storage and virtualization migration experience.
- VMware Pure Storage and Rubrik will all be up for renewal in about 12 months so this person will be involved in the process of assessing new technology to potentially integrate/migrate to and will assist in that migration.
- Look at candidates strong in (Pure NetApp Nutanix HPE Cloudian VMware) migration experience within these technologies will be huge. Someone who handles support requests for storage and virtualization as well VMware/Broadcom escalation support has been a problem for them.
- On the systems side (Windows/Mac/Linux) need to be able to help Tier 1 team from time to time.. but mostly will be involved in helping with higher level problem resolution. Active Directory..
- For network.. that is lower on the priority list but still a need. Someone who has done Juniper switch upgrades would be ideal. Personality and work ethic is crucial here.. They need gogetter mentality.
- Someone who likes helping solve problems and help others as well. This person will be working alongside IT management may be present and assist senior leadership and researchers. TRI is a complex environment.
