Bookkeeper

Job Title: Bookkeeper
Location: Northern Suburbs Cape Town
Position Type: Fulltime

Responsibilities:

• Record daytoday financial transactions and complete the posting process.
• Accurate processing of Supplier invoices
• Completing Bank Reconciliation
• Loading Payments
• Verify that transactions are accurately recorded in the correct day book suppliers ledger customer ledger and general ledger.
• Perform partial checks of the posting process.
• Enter data maintain records and create reports and financial statements.
• Process accounts receivable/payable and handle payroll in a timely manner.

Requirements:

• Proven bookkeeping experience (minimum 4 years).
• Solid understanding of basic bookkeeping and accounting principles.
• Ability to calculate post and manage accounting figures and financial records.
• Data entry skills along with a knack for numbers.
• Handson experience with spreadsheets and proprietary software.
• Proficiency in Sage Payroll and MS Office and Xero.
• Diploma or Certificates in Finance or Accounting
• Bilingual proficiency in English and Afrikaans.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Familiarity with accounting software packages such as Xero and Dext.
• Experience in Bookkeeping to Trial balance Financial Statements Tax VAT payroll General Ledger and reporting.
• Clear credit and criminal record.
• Availability: Ideally immediate.

Salary is negotiable based on experience and qualifications.
