Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) that cater to the specific educational needs of each student.
  
• Use various teaching techniques and tools including technology to enhance student learning and outcomes.
  
• Collaborate with other teachers parents and professionals to create a supportive and inclusive educational environment.
  
• Monitor and document student progress adapting educational plans as necessary to promote effective learning.
  
• Participate in IEP meetings providing insight and updates on student progress and adjustments needed.
  
• Manage classroom behavior using effective compassionate strategies that promote respect and positive interactions.
  
• Engage in continuous professional development to ensure best practices in special education.
  

• Bachelor s degree with specialization in Special Education
  
• Valid Missouri special education teaching certification from the DESE
  
• Must be willing and able to pass a background check drug screen and TB test
  
• Ability to work with a team and adapt to the diverse needs of students.
