Job Description
Our client is a leading distributor of technology services and lifestyle products in SubSaharan Africa. They currently have an opening for a finance executive to be based in Lagos Nigeria.
Job Objectives
To assist Head Finance & Accounts in respect to finance and accounting duties
To manage the Costing Structure for the Company Production
Roles and Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be reporting to the Finance manager.
He/she will be responsible for
- Developing and maintaining financial reports dashboards and metrics to measure business performance.
- The analysis and interpretation of financial data which will inform business decisions.
- The execution of Bank and Account reconciliations.
- Ensuring compliance with accounting standards laws and regulations.
- Leading financial planning and analysis efforts including budgeting forecasting and financial modeling.
- The Provision of strategic financial guidance to senior management including financial recommendations and analysis.
- The Management of Account Receivables and Account Payables.
Key Performance Indicators
Timely preparation of periodic financial reports on receivables and payables
Daily cash management report
Timely preparation of General Ledger
Bank statement reconciliation (weekly/monthly)
Depreciation and amortization report (Quarterly)
Working knowledge skills and competencies and attributes
Proficiency in the use of an accounting software
Versed knowledge of accounting (qualified/part qualified professional qualification) with experience
Articulate and smart
Proficiency in MS Office Excel
General knowledge of IT
Qualifications and Experience
Minimum of 3 years postgraduate experience in similar position
B.Sc/HND in Accounting or ATS Qualified and writing ICAN/ANAN Professional Exams
3 Years experience as a finance exceutive
