Position Summary: The Payroll Administrator will be responsible for managing and overseeing all aspects of the payroll process. This includes ensuring accurate and timely processing of payroll compliance with relevant laws and regulations and maintaining payroll records. The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail excellent organizational skills and a deep understanding of payroll systems and processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Payroll Processing:
- Accurately process biweekly semimonthly or monthly payrolls.
- Calculate and distribute wages bonuses and deductions.
- Ensure payroll transactions are processed accurately and on time.
- Compliance:
- Stay updated with federal state and local payroll laws and regulations.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant laws and internal policies.
- Prepare and file required tax reports and payments.
- Records Management:
- Maintain and update employee payroll records.
- Handle requests for payroll information and verification of employment.
- Manage records of employee deductions benefits and other payroll functions.
- ProblemSolving:
- Investigate and resolve payroll discrepancies and issues.
- Respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll.
- Coordinate with HR and Finance to address payrollrelated issues.
- Systems Management:
- Utilize payroll software and systems to process payroll.
- Ensure data integrity and security within the payroll system.
- Generate and distribute payroll reports as needed.
- Benefits Administration:
- Administer and reconcile employee benefits related to payroll.
- Process benefits enrollments changes and terminations.
- Coordinate with benefits providers as necessary.
- Auditing:
- Conduct regular audits of payroll procedures and records.
- Assist with internal and external audits related to payroll.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelors degree in Accounting Finance Business Administration or related field preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 23 years of experience in payroll administration.
