Bare Bones (BB) is a rapidly growing food and beverage brand focused on delivering nutrition in delicious and wildly convenient formats. Over the past three years the company has more than doubled in size (from under $10 million to over $20 million in revenue) become consistently profitable expanded its product line from broths to include both soups and beverages and has expanded its retail footprint to include Costco and leading grocery retailers (including national distribution at Whole Foods and Kroger).

What You Will Do

We are seeking a procurement leader to support and drive future growth through innovative and effective supply chain and procurement practices. You will develop and lead a sourcing and procurement capability that can serve as a source of competitive advantage for our company.

As the Procurement Manager you will help develop the job function as the company prepares for significant growth across the US and International businesses. Lead sourcing supplier management and endtoend value creation for $10M Ingredients spend across Bare Bone’s business. Have full accountability for all supplier relationships and performance. Leverage skill/scale for new opportunities and to deliver against broader business objectives. Support and enable rapid product innovation through a close partnership with the Product Development team.

Responsibilities:

• Operational Leadership: Develop and execute operational strategies that align with the company's growth objectives and ensure operational excellence across all functions.
• HandsOn Management: Lead by example and be actively involved in the daytoday operations rolling up your sleeves to drive outcomes when necessary.
• Cost Management: Collaborate with crossfunctional teams to manage the cost of goods sold (COGS) effectively. Identify costsaving opportunities and drive initiatives to improve profitability.
• Supplier and Customer Relationships: Cultivate strong relationships with key supplier partners that deliver vs. KPIs across cost quality service innovation and others. Collaborate closely with key supplier partners and customers to ensure mutual success and alignment with Bare Bones’ values and goals.
• Innovation Support/Ingredient Sourcing: Work with innovation team to source ingredients for innovation projects and benchtop testing to meet standards within the project brief.
• Create Redundancy: Conduct formal bidding process with diverse group of suppliers vetting primary and secondary suppliers to ensure redundancies along the supply chain.
• Documentation: Gather and maintain necessary documentation for all raw materials and maintain accurate information within IMS.
• Forecasting: Work with planning team to determine ingredient needs for upcoming productions place orders for ingredients and packaging within WMS and ensure delivery to appropriate supplier partners in a timely manner to support productions.
• Loss Management: Work with manufacturing partners to understand any losses above standard and to minimize losses moving forward.
• Maintain all certifications – organic NonGMO Project GFCO etc. – ensuring no lapses in compliance.
• Lead CAPA process for any deliveries of ingredients or packaging outside of specification and work with vendor partner to resolve issues for current and future deliveries.
• Contracting: Negotiate and manage supplier contracts to maximize value mitigate risk identify improvement opportunities and minimize total cost of ownership.
• Provide input into capital budgeting process with crossfunctional stakeholders in Manufacturing and Innovationrelated functions.
• Identify strategic partnership opportunities across multiyear time horizon to maximize value and minimize risk for BB.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience in a senior procurement role preferably within the consumer packaged goods industry with a track record of successfully managing highgrowth supply chains.
• Expertise in sourcing inventory management and logistics with a focus on efficiency cost control and quality.
• Financial acumen with a track record of achieving strong financial results through effective operations management.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to collaborate with crossfunctional teams suppliers and customers.
• A collaborative and egofree approach to working with colleagues and partners.
• Bachelor's degree in business supply chain management operations or a related field. MBA or advanced degree is a plus.
