*The position will be based in Vancouver Ottawa or Toronto.

Responsibilities

• Manage the cost control cycle throughout the project execution by setting up projects/mandates tracking budgets and schedules within the project management system;
  
• Calculate the initial budget on the basis of the proposal;
  
• Ensure tracking of hours expenses costs and budget updates;
  
• Monitor changes and coordination with the project team;
  
• Evaluate change requests evaluate their impact on project objectives and communicate changes to stakeholders;
  
• Ensure and manage the project progress monitoring with discipline managers including cost and schedule controls;
  
• Ensure followup with project managers on regular updates of project forecasts including periodic assistance in the estimation of remaining project costs as well as necessary provisions and risks;
  
• Records and resolves issues relating to project budgets and schedules;
  
• Ensure the quality of prepared project status reports executive summaries and dashboards to provide timely updates on performance.
  

Requirements

• Administration finance or engineering degree;
  
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar position;
  
• Bilingual (an asset) but proficiency in English language with excellent communication skills (written and verbal) is required;
  
• Strong personal IT skills (MS Office suite) and relevant software skills specific to project controls.
  

• Interest for numbers and rigorous in analyzing project costs;
  
• Autonomy;
  
• Ability to work in a team;
  
• Able to perform in a fastpaced environment with tight deadlines;
  
• Excellent organizational communication and writing skills.
