Job Description

We are a leading recruitment company in Sri Lanka and Our client is a leading FMCG company head office based in Colombo. They are no 1 in the industry they operate and now have started its new distribution channels in India looking for sales pfficers to join their sales team. Below is the summery of the Job Description.

Job Role
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with assigned distributors.
  • Collaborate with distributors to increase primary order volume and expand reach to new retailers.
  • Assist distributors in achieving sales targets and provide ongoing support.
  • Call 25 retailers daily including standalone supermarkets and large retailers.
  • Effectively present and close deals to secure product orders.
  • Manage and track assigned sales territory to ensure product availability. Secure prime shelf placement within the biscuit category for assigned products.
  • Implement and monitor PointofSale (POS) materials to enhance brand visibility at retail outlets.
  • Monitor stock rotation and freshness to ensure product quality and timely replenishment.
  • Achieve assigned primary and secondary sales targets within the defined territory.
  • Regularly track and report on sales performance metrics.
  • Identify and recruit potential distributors with 35 years of experience managing similar channels.
  • Onboard and train new distributors to ensure effective partnership and product representation.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration Sales Marketing or related field.
  • Proven track record of at least 3 years in sales roles within the FMCG industry preferably in the food sector.
  • Strong negotiation and communication skills with the ability to influence stakeholders at various levels.
  • Sound understanding of distributor management and retail sales operations.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with sales tracking software.
  • Willingness to travel extensively within the assigned territory.
