Job Description

Position: Customer Service Agent
Location: Halifax NS
Department: Customer Service

Type: FullTime

Job Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated and personable Customer Service Agent to join our team. In this role you will be the first point of contact for our customers providing exceptional service resolving inquiries and ensuring a positive customer experience. The ideal candidate is a problem solver with excellent communication skills and a passion for helping others.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Customer Interaction:

    • Respond to customer inquiries via phone email chat and social media promptly and professionally.
    • Handle and resolve customer complaints and issues with empathy and efficiency.
    • Provide information about products and services addressing customer needs and concerns.
  • Problem Resolution:

    • Troubleshoot and resolve product or service issues by identifying the root cause and determining the best solution.
    • Follow up with customers to ensure complete resolution of their issues.
  • Documentation and Reporting:

    • Maintain accurate records of customer interactions transactions comments and complaints.
    • Provide feedback to management regarding service failures or customer concerns.
    • Prepare and distribute customer activity reports as required.
  • Process Improvement:

    • Suggest and implement improvements in processes to enhance customer satisfaction.
    • Stay updated on product knowledge and company policies to ensure accurate and consistent customer communication.
  • Team Collaboration:

    • Work closely with other team members to ensure a seamless customer service experience.
    • Assist in training new team members as needed.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; college degree preferred.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong problemsolving abilities and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in using customer service software CRM systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to multitask prioritize and manage time effectively.
