Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Marketing Manager to join our team at King Shaka International Airport in Durban. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing and executing marketing strategies to promote the airport s services increase passenger traffic and enhance the overall customer experience.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Planning and Execution
Develop and implement comprehensive marketing strategies and campaigns to promote the airport s services and facilities.
Identify market trends customer needs and competitive landscape to inform marketing strategies.
Set marketing goals and objectives in alignment with the airport s overall business goals.
Campaign Management
Plan execute and monitor marketing campaigns across various channels including digital print social media and events.
Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to create engaging content and promotional materials.
Track and analyse the performance of marketing campaigns adjusting strategies as needed to meet objectives.
Customer Engagement and Experience
Enhance the customer experience by developing initiatives to improve passenger services and amenities.
Conduct customer surveys and feedback sessions to gather insights and improve service offerings.
Implement loyalty programs and promotional offers to attract and retain customers.
Brand Management
Ensure consistent application of the airport s brand guidelines across all marketing materials and communications.
Develop and maintain strong brand positioning to enhance the airport s image and reputation.
Manage relationships with media and PR agencies to increase brand visibility.
Market Research and Analysis
Conduct market research to identify new business opportunities and areas for growth.
Analyse market data customer feedback and industry trends to inform marketing strategies.
Prepare and present regular reports on marketing activities and performance to senior management.
Budget Management
Develop and manage the marketing budget ensuring efficient allocation of resources.
Monitor and control marketing expenditures to stay within budget.
Requirements
Qualifications:
Education and Experience
Bachelor s degree in Marketing Business Administration or a related field.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in marketing preferably within the travel tourism or aviation industry.
Proven track record of developing and executing successful marketing campaigns.
