Job Description

Highly respected distributor of wide format and 3D additive printing equipment and related products seeks an experienced Accounting Manager to be responsible for all areas relating to accounting functions and financial reporting. The successful candidate is a critical thinker and problem solver with excellent communication skills. The Accounting Manager is skilled at establishing and maintaining strong and effective relationships with managers staff and customers and has the ability to thoroughly understand essential company policies related to payroll billing and expenses. This position requires a strong individual who is able to oversee the development and implementation of corporate procedures and a staff of 5 direct reports. The Accounting Manager is responsible for managing accounting HR and purchasing and logistics.

RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE ACCOUNTING MANAGER:

  • Prepare monthly internal financials including bank account reconciliation journal entries work papers and reports
  • Management of the company ERP System Sage 50. Primary contact to the vendor for the periodic maintenance of the system including daily backups to a second offsite data storage system
  • Daily fiscal management and reconciliation of company bank accounts including online banking duties bank check credit card processing and management of the bank line of credit
  • Supervise the Invoicing / Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable function
  • Management of a 3rd party payroll vendor and tracking of PTO and related benefits
  • Administrate company business and health insurance benefits and annual renewal
  • Execute the semimonthly payroll function and monthly payment of sales rep commission supported by the creation detailed sales reports
  • Manage the customer records function including correct customer data for billing and sales tax purposes
  • Monthly and quarterly sales tax administration and reporting (14 states)
  • Annual closing of the accounting records and financial statements including account reconciliation work papers and information requested by the accounting firm
  • Supervise and monitor the customer and vendor product return process
  • Write company policies for the improved management of essential functions
  • General office management including postal and freight management landlord interaction oversee office supplies and outside services needed to insure satisfactory operation of the office warehouse and grounds
  • Ad hoc analysis including but not limited to pricing and margin levels sales tracking and rate of change reports
  • Colead the customer service customer experience and business development team with the company owner to meet the sales goals of the company and support the Sales manager and account representatives
  • Provide performance management feedback to subordinates including annual goal setting and periodic performance reviews
  • Supervises the order to delivery process including the inbound receipt of goods and reconciliation / settlement of all outbound sales of goods and services
  • Review of vendor invoices and customer invoices to ensure accuracy of inventory. If discrepancies physical counts of inventory performed.
  • Supervision of all assigned employees including regular work with each individual and assuming fill in duties as needed including the ability of store and move product and assemble orders in the Warehouse
  • Supervise product inventory levels and pricing


Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS OF THE ACCOUNTING MANAGER:

  • Bachelor s Degree in Accounting is required
  • 3 years supervisory accounting experience in abovementioned responsibilities
  • Experience with SAGE / Quickbooks operating software
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite
  • Inventory and pricing experience is preferred
  • Strong customer service orientation with the ability to deal with staff and customers in a friendly positive and proactive manner
  • Experience managing HR functions and issues
  • Able to multitask work under pressure meet deadlines and thrive in a fastpaced environment
  • Ability to effectively collaborate with administration team managers & staff to serve as the financial resource for the Company
