Job Description

Parents Anonymous Inc. is seeking a qualified and passionate HCAI (Healthcare Access Information) Program Manager to join our team. The Department of Health Care Access and Information (HCAI) provides grant opportunities for educational institutions that support the education and training of mental health and primary care health professionals.

About the Position

Parents Anonymous Inc. is looking for an enthusiastic caring and culturally responsive Program Manager for the Healthcare Access Information program to provide community and programmatic support. In this position you will create and execute a comprehensive Program Plan to achieve deliverables outlined in HCAI contracts such as recruiting training and supporting Peer Support Specialists. You will oversee recruitment training and supervision of HCAI staff ensure effective job placement and support for individuals and establish connections and partnerships with employers throughout California to meet recruitment training employment and support goals.

Specific Job Duties

  • Create implement and monitor a comprehensive Program Plan to manage and ensure successful accomplishment of all deliverables outlined in the two HCAI contracts to recruit complete career plans train and support Peer Support Specialists.
  • Recruit train and supervise all HCAI staff including Trainers and Job Developers who recruit train place individuals in jobs or volunteers positions for 6 months of support.
  • Develop implement and monitor all program pitches flyers and email communications.
  • Lead and engage in all recruitment activities with employers who are seeking to hire Peer Support Specialists and those who already employ noncertified Peer Support Specialists to ensure recruitment training employment and support goals.
  • Identify community job fairs and other outreach efforts in L.A. County to attend for the purposes of recruitment.
  • Oversee and monitor career plans for all those recruited for HCAI.
  • Build and maintain strategic partnerships with employers throughout California.
  • Supervise and ensure fidelity to the MediCal Certified Peer Support Specialist Training Curriculum through direct observation of Trainers
  • Oversee monitor and deliver when needed workshop to prep for the MediCal Certification Test.
  • Secure paid and volunteer placement for 160 participants by June 30 2024 and an additional 160 participants by June 30 2024.
  • Orchestrate and oversee meaningful support to participants for 6 months.
  • Create implement and monitor a comprehensive database documenting all aspects of the program plan and deliverables.
  • Submit on a timely basis all required quarterly reports and respond to the Program Monitor.
  • Supervise weekly and daily all staff individually to ensure assigned program goals are achieved utilizing supervision log.
  • Facilitate weekly Team Meeting and maintain meeting minutes.
  • Document success stories of program participants for program promotion on the website and social media.


Requirements

  • MUST VERIFY THAT YOU ARE A PEER (WITH LIVED EXPERIENCE): A Peer is an individual who is selfidentified as having lived experience with the process of recovery from mental illness substance use disorder or both either as a consumer of these services or as the parent or family member of the consumer.
  • Must have weekend and evening availability as needed for the program.
  • Bilingual (English and Spanish) preferred
  • Must be at least 18 years old.
  • A bachelor s degree in social work psychology or related field is required.
  • Must have 5 years of Program Manager experience in social services.
  • Must have some experience working directly with diverse Parents Children & Youth up to 25
  • Must embrace and reflect the Mission Vision and Principles of Parents Anonymous Inc.
  • Must embrace the philosophy and theory of change of Parent Anonymous including mutual support parent leadership shared leadership and personal growth and change.
  • Must have welldeveloped computer skills.
  • Must be a Quick learner high intelligence passionate and team player.
  • Must be able to work at community outreach events on weekends as needed.
  • Must be culturally responsive responsible and seek assistance from supervisor when work challenges arise.
  • Must have a smartphone.
  • Must have a working vehicle and a valid driver s license or can go to work and outreach in the surrounding area.
