Our Awardwinning real estate developer/ builder client in the west end of Toronto is looking for a Municipal Planning Legal Counsel to join their team. As Municipal Planning Legal Counsel reporting to the EVP you will support various legal work required for multiple development projects in the lowrise midrise and commercial sectors.

Your Future Day to Day Career Opportunity Awaits:

• You will work closely with the development team; to lead planning applications and liaise with municipal staff from the Legal and Planning departments
  
• You will be responsible for zoning and official plan amendments both applications and appeals condominium applications and registrations
  
• Drafting and negotiating municipal agreements which includes site plans section 37
  
• Drafting and reviewing assets and land purchase and sale agreements
  
• Managing tenant and purchaser issue
  
• Experience with City of Toronto and Peel region policies and procedures is a priority
  
• Provide critical legal and planning support as the company expands
  

Requirements

What Wed Like to See:

• Experience in municipal planning and or real estate matters is a must
  
• Creative and strategical thinking
  
• Experience with OLT representation
  
• Being able to negotiate internally and externally
  
• Excellent written verbal and interpersonal skills
  
• Eager to apply legal skills to planning and development challenges
  
• Urban Planning or Architectural educational background is an asset
