Job Description

We are hiring a Assistant Physiotherapist for a Nursing Home in Wicklow Ireland. We will provide exceptional patient care in an environment where quality respect caring and compassion are at the center of all we do.
Key Responsibilities
- The Physiotherapy Assistant will work under the Physiotherapist to support the provision of physiotherapy services
- Assist residents to transfer to the physiotherapy suite for group/individual sessions.
- Assist the physiotherapist in the delivery of group exercise classes.
- Assist the physiotherapist/ activity coordinators in the transport of residents to activities such as mass etc.
- Demonstrate knowledge and training in the safe use of physiotherapy equipment during therapeutic interventions as directed by the Physiotherapist
- Maintain order cleanliness and tidiness of physiotherapy suite and equipment.
- Assist the physiotherapist with administrative tasks including printing/ laminating/ shredding etc.
Requirements
- Experience in Gerontology.
- HCA / Physiotherapist qualification or equivalent
- Minimum one year gerontology work experience
- Have an indepth knowledge of the role of the physiotherapy assistant
- Experience as a physiotherapy assistant
