Position: Scientist I Chemistry
Location: Sunnyvale CA 94085
Duration: 12 Months (This role is Temp to perm based on business needs at the time)
Work Type: Onsite
Shift: 06:00 AM to 02:30 PM
Key Responsibilities:
- Synthesize polymer particles using established chemistries
- Participate in process optimization development and scaleups for routine production
- Perform analytical characterization of polymeric particles using specialty equipment and instrumentation (including ionchromatography particle sizing and surface area instruments)
- Analyze data derive conclusions document findings write SOPs and prepare reports
- Present written and oral reports and collaborate with multidisciplinary groups in R&D and manufacturing divisions
- Producing many of the resins that are key to the success of the Ion Chromatography portfolio
- Follow all EH&S safety requirements participate in safety improvement activities and carry out ISO9001 guidelines and corporate quality policy
Required Skills
- Handson experience in the Chemistry laboratory & wet chemistry
- Ability to summarize and present experimental results and have excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Must obtain a bachelors degree in a sciencerelated field
- Able to lift weights up to 40 lbs and meet all physical demands of working in a chemical laboratory
