Unity Catalog Platform Architect

This is a remote position.

• Architect and develop robust frameworks for efficiently onboarding new users user groups and security configuration onto the Databricks Platform and Unity Catalog.
  
• Design and implement security control processes tailored for integrating new data and users ensuring compliance.
  
• Build scalable and maintainable architectures that support the evolving needs of our data workflows and analytics processes on the platform.
  
• Work closely with data engineering data science and IT security teams to define standard processes for the use of the platform.
  
• Advocate for and implement standard processes in data management security and governance within the Databricks ecosystem.
  
• Lead by example mentoring junior team members and encouraging a culture of technical excellence and innovation.
  
  

Requirements

• Bachelor s degree in computer science or related field preferred.
  
• Demonstrable experience with the Databricks platform including Databricks SQL Delta Lake and the Unity Catalog.
  
• Solid grasp of cloud infrastructure and services preferably with experience in AWS
  
• Knowledge of Microsoft Fabric Platform and Immuta security platform for sophisticated data governance and privacy management.
  
• Excellent problemsolving skills and the ability to design and implement scalable highperformance data solutions.
  
• Proven background in data architecture data modeling and data governance principles.
  
• Proficiency in automation and configuration management tools particularly Terraform.
  
• Strong leadership capabilities
  
• Ability to work across different teams and levels of the organization.
  
• Results oriented with a laser focus on accountability.
