Job Description
As a Civil Engineer you will be instrumental in the design and execution of various land development projects throughout South Florida. Your role will involve collaborating with various stakeholders to ensure the successful completion of projects and compliance with regulatory requirements.
Responsibilities:
Design:
- Utilize AutoCAD software to create detailed plans for land development projects including roads drainage systems utilities and other infrastructure.
- Collaborate with architects landscape architects and land use professionals to integrate design elements seamlessly.
Permitting and Compliance:
- Prepare and submit permit applications to local agencies ensuring compliance with zoning regulations environmental guidelines and safety standards.
Site Visits and Supervision:
- Conduct regular visits to construction sites to oversee project progress and ensure alignment with approved plans and specifications.
Project Management:
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously adhering to schedules and client deadlines.
- Coordinate with stakeholders including clients municipalities and contractors.
Communication and Documentation:
- Effectively communicate with clients addressing concerns and providing updates.
- Maintain accurate project documentation including drawings reports and correspondence.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in civil engineering.
- Minimum 2 years of experience using AutoCAD for drafting and design.
- Familiarity with land development processes and regulations.
- Engineer in Training (EIT) certification or Professional Engineer (PE) preferred.
