Job Description:
As a Senior Site Reliability Engineer specializing in Azure AKS you will play a crucial role in ensuring the reliability scalability and performance of our cloudnative applications running on Azure infrastructure. You will be responsible for designing implementing and maintaining the infrastructure and tools necessary to support our microservices architecture deployed on AKS clusters. Additionally you will collaborate closely with crossfunctional teams to optimize our CI/CD pipelines automate deployment processes and drive operational excellence in a cloudnative environment.
Responsibilities:
1. Design deploy and manage highly available and scalable AKS clusters on Azure.
2. Develop and maintain infrastructure as code (IaC) templates using Terraform or ARM templates for provisioning Azure resources.
3. Implement monitoring alerting and logging solutions to ensure the reliability and performance of AKS clusters and applications.
4. Automate deployment scaling and management of containerized applications using Kubernetes and Helm charts.
5. Collaborate with development teams to optimize application performance troubleshoot issues and implement best practices for containerization.
6. Continuously improve the reliability and efficiency of our infrastructure through automation and process refinement.
7. Participate in oncall rotations and respond to incidents in a timely manner to minimize downtime and impact on customers.
8. Stay uptodate with the latest trends and technologies in cloudnative development Kubernetes and DevOps practices.
Qualifications:
1. Qualification in Computer Science Engineering or related field.
2. Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Site Reliability Engineer or DevOps Engineer with at least 2 years of handson experience working with Azure AKS.
3. Strong proficiency in Kubernetes administration including cluster setup configuration and management.
4. Experience with Azure services such as Azure Container Registry Azure Monitor Azure Blob Storage Azure Key Vault etc.
5. Proficiency in scripting and automation using tools like PowerShell Bash Python or Go.
6. Experience with infrastructure as code (IaC) tools like Terraform ARM templates or Azure Resource Manager.
7. Solid understanding of networking concepts load balancing and security principles in a cloud environment.
8. Excellent troubleshooting skills and the ability to analyze complex systems to identify and resolve issues.
9. Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with crossfunctional teams in a fastpaced environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
1. Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert or Microsoft Certified: Azure DevOps Engineer Expert certification.
2. Experience with CI/CD pipelines using tools like Azure DevOps Jenkins or GitLab CI.
3. Familiarity with containerization technologies such as Docker and container orchestration platforms other than Kubernetes.
4. Experience with microservices architecture and cloudnative application development.
5. Knowledge of DevOps best practices and methodologies such as Agile Scrum or Kanban.
