Job Description


Job Title: Accounting Manager

Overview:We are seeking a detailoriented and experienced Accounting Manager to oversee our accounting department and ensure the accurate and timely processing of financial transactions. The Accounting Manager will play a key role in maintaining financial records implementing internal controls and supporting the overall financial health of the organization.

Responsibilities:

  1. Financial Operations: Supervise daytoday accounting activities including accounts payable accounts receivable general ledger maintenance and monthend close processes. Ensure the accurate and timely recording of financial transactions in accordance with GAAP and company policies.
  2. Financial Reporting: Prepare and analyze financial statements including balance sheets income statements and cash flow statements. Review financial data for accuracy completeness and compliance with regulatory requirements. Provide insights and recommendations to senior management based on financial analysis.
  3. Budgeting and Forecasting: Assist in the development and monitoring of annual budgets and financial forecasts. Collaborate with department heads to gather relevant data analyze variances and provide explanations for budget performance. Support the budgeting process with accurate and timely financial information.
  4. Internal Controls: Implement and maintain effective internal control procedures to safeguard company assets prevent fraud and ensure the integrity of financial data. Conduct periodic reviews and assessments to identify areas for improvement and mitigate risks.
  5. Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to streamline accounting processes improve efficiency and enhance accuracy. Implement best practices and leverage technology solutions to optimize financial operations and reduce manual efforts.
  6. Audit Support: Coordinate internal and external audits providing documentation and support as needed. Liaise with auditors to address inquiries resolve issues and ensure compliance with audit requirements and regulatory standards.
  7. Team Leadership: Recruit train and mentor accounting staff fostering a culture of accountability professionalism and continuous learning. Provide guidance and support to team members promoting collaboration and driving performance excellence.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in Accounting Finance or related field; CPA designation preferred.
  • 5 years of progressive experience in accounting roles with at least 2 years in a supervisory or managerial capacity.
  • Solid understanding of GAAP principles financial reporting requirements and internal control standards.
  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g. QuickBooks Oracle) and advanced Excel skills.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data and generate meaningful insights.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to interact effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Proven leadership abilities with a track record of building and developing highperforming teams.
  • Detailoriented organized and able to manage multiple priorities in a fastpaced environment.
