Job Description

Summary

We are looking for a driven Accounting Intern with a basic understanding of GAAP and financial principles and terms who is ready for an immersive realworld experience. Candidates must presently be enrolled in an undergraduate program preferably as a rising junior or senior.

Responsibilities


Provide ongoing support to the Accounting team in their daytoday responsibilities.
Assist with research filing and data entry efforts to ensure accurate and complete financial recordkeeping.
Review and process invoices for payment to vendors using Quickbooks.
Document or revise standard operating procedures.
Contribute to special project assignments.
Produce ad hoc reports upon request.

Qualifications


Knowledge of basic accounting principles and procedures with demonstrable coursework in managerial and financial accounting.
Ability to compile analyze and summarize financial information.
Ability to plan and organize work in an efficient manner.
Ability to operate standard office equipment such as a computer and printer.
Ability to use business operating software (e.g. MS Excel MS Outlook).
Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing.
Motivation to take on new challenges and learn as much as possible.
