You will be updated with latest job alerts via emailThe Training Instructor Armament, will be responsible for preparing and delivering boththeoretical and practical training, relating to Typhoon Type, specialist andsupport training, and assessing trainee performance and evaluating the efficacyof the training system. Formal Training will occur within the Qatar TyphoonTraining Facility (QTTF) augmented by mentored training within the operationalenvironment. The role also includes the duties of the Squadron Training Cell todevelop, maintain and manage the competencies of Squadron personnel.Key aspects of the Training Instructor Armament role includes:- Preparation and delivery of the allocated course inaccordance with the authorised Syllabus, and associated materials, in line thetraining schedule within the Training Management Information System (TMIS).Invigilating and marking examinations and assessmentsand marking assessments.The continuous assessment, evaluation and reportingof trainee progress.Developing, maintaining andmanaging the competencies of Squadron personnel; these specific roles aredetailed in the following Job Specifications:- Ensuring that trainees use appropriate PersonalProtection Equipment (PPE) and observe safety precautions and procedures duringpractical training.- Ensuring that equipment pre-use checks are carriedout and associated approved data is available before training commences.- Ensuring training is conducted safely and thattraining areas, including training aids, classrooms, workshops and groundinstructional / operational aircraft are left in a safe condition.Maintaining discipline of your allocated traineesat all times; this includes break times and during changeover between trainingareas.Reporting trainee absences to your Training InstructorSupervisor and/or Head of Maintenance.Training Instructors are expected to fulfilspecific roles in support of the QTTF (when appointed by the Training InstructorSupervisor):CourseCoordinator.SubjectLead.Trainingaircraft and equipment coordinator.Otherduties as determined by the Training Instructor Supervisor.Development and maintenance of their own Instructorcompetencies.- A ctively commit to continuous improvement as anintegral part of the primary duties by identifying and reporting coursedeficiencies (omissions and/or inaccuracies) and improvements to the trainingsystem and materials to the Training Instructor Supervisor.Requirements Possess a TrainingQualification at Level 3 or above e.g. Level 3 Award in Education &Training, Level 4 Certificate in Education & Training, Level 5 Diploma inEducation & Training. Possess a minimumrecognised qualification to NVQ3/ONC level in a relevant aircraft maintenance discipline,or suitable equivalent.Recent in-depthexperience, to a level appropriate for their role, within a Maintenance &Support environment (typically a minimum of 5 years), including directexperience of supporting Training activities.Understands the Regulatory Framework and itsapplicability to the training system, processes and activities.Minimum of 2 years experience of delivering aircraftType training and having operational knowledge and understanding ofinstructional delivery and mentoring activities, and the associated business key performance metrics.Undertakes arange of work requiring a professional understanding of Training structures andprocesses.Experiencedgeneralist applies understanding within and across a professional area ofknowledge, including how solutions are developed and implemented.Self-sufficient in all common aspects of Training.Undertakes themore complex professional work of an area, provides a service to the Trainingteam.
