We are looking for a Assistant Engineer Marine System (EDC)

Functions
- Support other inhouse departments and external parties where required by providing specialist technical advice and information.
- Prepare detailed design drawing using 3D modelling tools such detailed design drawing could include mechanical design piping design ducting design and necessary design document to enable production of prototype for product development.
- Assist Engineers to prepare marine system piping and instrumentation diagrams (e.g. cooling fuel oil systems) and Bill of Material for Approval Working and AsBuilt.
- Assist Engineers to arrange Material Take Off of equipment piping component and instrumentation.
- Assist Engineers to prepare machinery layout arrangement.
Assist in design calculations. - Assist in the preparation of Major Equipment List.
- Assist in the preparation of equipment specifications.
- Ensure timely completion of design/drawings according to planned schedules and meeting the quality standards required.
- Ensure quality control in the design/drawing process.
- Involve in 3D modelling of machinery pipe and ducts in machinery spaces and the update of 3D software database.
- Responsible to prepare detail production engineering drawings to support machinery piping and ducting fabrication.
- Ensure all documents are issued updated or filed according to EDC procedure.
- Input correct part number and description of the material in the material list as part of the production information.
- Participate in tests and trials where required
Requirements
Diploma in Marine/Mechanical Engineering.
23 years of relevant experience in detail design using 3D modelling software such as Aveva Marine.
Experience in electrical outfitting2D/3D modelling work (for Cabletray equip panel installation arrangement electrical fittings .etc) for vessel OR work in shipyard
Experience working in ship design engineering office
Good knowledge of international design codes Classification/Statutory Rules and Regulations.
Software (mandatory): Aveva Marine AutoCAD or similar functions
Software (need basis): VA One Star CCM Aveva PID Pipeflow Expert
Keep abreast with current technological developments and products focusing on production method.
Keep abreast with Classifications Rules military and industrial standards relevant to design activities.
