The Control Systems Engineer Will Be Responsible For
Designing and implementing software controls for robotics and industrial automation equipment.
Designing and maintaining interfaces between controls (OT) and IT systems
Maintaining and developing the architecture design of the industrial electronic system of automation equipment
Identifying requirements; developing specifications; and implementing, testing, commissioning, qualifying automation solutions.
Writing verification and validation plans for the safety system.
Leading and supporting internal resources and external contractors in the development of controls systems and electrical panels.
Analyzing failure modes of control system, the effect of the failure, and identifying mitigations and diagnostics
Driving projects to closure; ensuring that systems could be easily be configured, deployed and maintained.
A day in the life
Your day to day responsibilities include interfacing with our internal and external customers to understand project requirements facilitating Robotic system development.
You will be responsible for solving system design challenges in order to deliver Amazon’s leading-edge robotics technologies in its fulfillment and transportation networks.
You will be working in an environment where time is considered the most precious commodity. You will collaborate across hardware and software development teams to design and deliver safety controls for the robotic work cells.
You will work directly with hardware engineers, software engineering, project management, quality, and safety teams to deliver work cells at scale.
